Our School Council is made up of a boy and girl from each year group who are elected by their peers at the start of each school year. Meetings take place several times each term, always attended by the Headteacher and PSHE Co-ordinator.
Over the years St. Francis School Council has had numerous suggestions approved and introduced: new plates and glasses for lunch, menu suggestions, the introduction of play-leaders during Break Times, water fountains around school, fundraising initiatives and many others.
Recently the school council has discussed ideas for school themed lunches, charities we support in school and ideas for developing new roles in school.
In November 2017 the School council wrote a "Guide for children on Anti-Bullying" for every child to have in school to help if they feel they are being bullied. Filled with advice and support it can also be accessed here.
