St Francis Braintree

In-Year Admissions

St Francis Catholic Primary School  is a Voluntary Aided school and can receive and process their own 'In-Year Admissions'.

The Governing Body of St. Francis Catholic Primary School is responsible for all admissions.  Parents are urged to seriously consider their commitment to the Catholic Faith and how it is expressed before requesting admission.  The standard number to admit for the Reception Class is 30. Our Governors have agreed the Admissions criteria.  Where applications for admissions exceed the number of places available, the Governing Body will allocate places in the following categories in the order set out in the policy below.

When you are ready to make an application for a In-Year Application please complete the In-Year Application Form for each child you are applying for.

We also ask that you complete A Supplementary Information Form (SIF) and return this to the school office.

Please return your completed form directly to St. Francis Catholic Primary School NOT to Essex Local Authority.

You can email  it back to admin@st-francis.essex.sch.uk or hand in to the school office (open between 8am and 4pm Mon-Fri - during term time)

Once received, a response will be given to you within 15 school days (although this is likely to be much quicker.) The application response letter from St. Francis school will be sent by email to the address you have provided and we ask that you please check this email address is correct and legible as we cannot be responsible for inaccurate emails.
If you would rather have a letter posted to you please tick the box on the form.

Once accepted, you and your child will be invited in to meet with the Headteacher and have a tour of the school. At this stage we can also advise on uniform and a start date.

We welcome Parents and Carers to view the school prior to making an application and this can be arranged via the school office.

You should not remove your child from their current school until a place has been secured elsewhere.

If you would like full details on how our school uses personal data, please visit the school website.
