Our policy is based on the belief that a school uniform:
- promotes a sense of pride in the school
- engenders a feeling of belonging
- is practical and smart
- identifies the children with the school
- is not distracting in class (as fashion clothing might be)
- makes children feel equal to one another in terms of appearance
- reflects the sense both of community and of diversity that the school takes pride in
- is regarded as suitable, and good value for money, by most parents

All uniform items can be purchased from Absolute Embroidery
We have chosen this supplier because they offer good value and are very local to the school.
Orders can be collected or delivered to you home.
We ask that the school cardigan/ jumper has the school logo embroidered on it,
however you may find you can source other parts of the uniform from other shops or suppliers.
General
Hair of shoulder length and longer must be tied up at all times
Hair accessories to be small plain and in the school colours (yellow and/or navy)
No make-up or nail varnish
No hair dye or highlights
Metal stud earrings only - single stud per ear
However, please ensure that ears are pierced at a time when this will not affect the
child’s PE., i.e. during the summer holiday.
The child must be able to remove and replace earrings on their own.
No other jewellery - simple watch only.
Girls
White shirt or blouse
School tie (navy with gold stripe)
Grey tailored pinafore dress or skirt
Navy blue cardigan or jumper (with school logo)
Yellow and white checked dress (in summer tem only)
Grey/black tights or grey/white socks
Dark plain coloured coat
Boys
White shirt

The grey trousers, shorts, skirts and pinafores can be bought in high street shops or ordered on-line.
The choice of this widely available colour means that a range of fits are also available therefore making
it possible that every child can feel comfortable during the school day.
We ask that these are purchased in grey (not charcoal grey)
and are tailored style – not jersey materials and without any logos.
Summer dresses are in a range of styles but we do not permit shorts/playsuits or the white poloshirt and checked skirt combination.
Shoes (boys and girls)
Black shoes
Sandals (for summer) closed toe
No flashing lights or gimmicky shoes (i.e. toys in sole of shoe)
No trainers or boots to be worn for school day
PE Kit (indoor)
House colour t-shirts (NOT polo-shirts and no printed logos or embellishments)
(red, blue or green) these will be allocated on admission and this is the same for all siblings
Black shadow shorts - NOT cycling shorts
Named bag
Outdoor PE Kit (optional)
Black Shorts
House T-shirt
Tracksuit or long sleeved top and jogging bottoms (optional)
Appropriate footwear
One sensible size sports bag- due to space in cloakroom
Please Note : This kit is separate to the indoor PE kit, there are no colour
(although these can be purchased in the house colours or plain and dark in colour) and worn with the house t.shirt.
'Twice Loved'
We also have a limited supply of second hand uniform near the school office.
We encourage parents to donate any items in good condition to school and these are used as spares
or parents can take what they need for a voluntary donation to school funds. Please ask the school office for access to this stock.
We are now no longer accepting any brown uniform.
